The instrument might be made by John Gray. Dave used to live in Champaign,IL, as did John. John repairs and builds instruments. I'll see if I can find out. |

awesome love it. I can't decide if its his tuner, delay or intonation but all the notes are right but just a few cents out and it bugs me. _________________ Stefan

Also, the cool thing about this vid is that he used what's recorded here as a solo section to a vocal tune (Ghost Rider's in the Sky) which he sang - I started recording late. Super-creative and unexpected. Not just a stand-alone bebop tune. |

Maybe the tuning issue that you hear may be due to Mr. Easley's almost complete lack of any vibrato.

I'm thinking maybe he is using harmonic tuning rather than equal temperament.
