my nv400 ser#4A-O1836454 has chrome corners have tried to look it up but to no avail.I need help thanks

Should be 1994.

Yes, I agree with Lane , I believe that 4A- represents 1994


Edit: I believe that 4A- represents 1984 and it's what I meant to say at the time Mad

The reason is that I have one from that area (I was stationed in Winnipeg, MB)and it has the chrome . I traded a Session 500 for it because the 500 was too heavy for me.

yeah, '84. By '94, chrome hardware had long been history.

I don't know what year[s] they made the transition, but I bought 2 brand new NV400's in 1990, mfg. in 1989 with black powder coat hdwe. Serial number prefix 9A followed by 8 digits.

BILLY COOPER IT HAS BLACK CORNERS

I couldn't tell you when we started using black hardware on the Nashville 400 or any Peavey amplifier for that matter. It did not signify a change in the circuit of the amplifier, only a cosmetic change.
