Mr. E has explained some of these changes before, like the RKR, but I was wondering what function Pedal 9 served?

The 9th pedal would give him the same effect as the Boo Wah (8th pedal on a C6th) when he has the E's lowered as you would would a Universal - Key of B

I think that even better for pedal 9 is to also lower the 9th string D to B. It basically gives you a full 7-string B9 tuning straight up with a couple chromatic choices in the top 3 strings. I have that on my pedal 4.

I was recently wondering if anyone else had done this, but thought maybe I could keep it as a secret pedal, like the old days.
