the 2016 steelin' the gospel steel guitar showcase, is returning by popular demand to the climate controlled, rocking chair comfort of the gospel singing shed auditorium, 2 miles south of mcgehee and 4 miles north of dermott, Arkansas at the intersection of us hwy 65 & Arkansas hwy 165.
an, on site, catfish fry, featuring local Arkansas mighty laripin' delta, pond raised filet, is on the bill for Saturday afternoon. player slots are filling up, but, limited.
spectator admission is free. steelers too!
if you get caught steelin', get caught here!
a Friday nite early bird jam is open to all players and singers. a great back-up band is there for you as well or bring your own.
motels and camping is close by. real close....

| The crowd is in for a real treat. Austin Stewart is a favorite everyone loves to hear. I wish that Tonya and I could make it but the Oklahoma show is at the end of May and I just could not get off work for both of them. You guys and gals will have a great time. |

the Friday nite early bird jam is still taking place from 6:30pm 'til 10pm before the Saturday show. all and any players are invited to participate. several steelers that are not on Saturday's show as well as singers and players of other instruments are scheduled to be at the jam. and you are invited too!
singers are especially encouraged....

well our fith nannual steelin' the gospel has come and gone and it was excellent, as far as the talent went. the crowd that didn't show up missed a fine afternoon gospel music featuring the steel guitars of carl cox, arvis moore, ray Pruitt, Floyd Arbuckle, jerry newberry and Austin stewart. everybody had a little bit different style and selection to offer and the performance was fantabulous from each of these players. a special thanks goes out to, bobby ray on piano, phillip payne & Floyd Arbuckle on guitar, seth hayes & mark temporaro on drums and arvis moore on bass for backing these guys thru the day. special thanks to donna and britany for sharing jerry and Austin with us for the afternoon and delta resorts for sponsoring the 2016 steelin' the gospel steel guitar showcase at the hacketts gospel singin' shed.

Country Jack,I had a great time as usual at any steel guitar show.I met some great new friends and heard some wonderful gospel singing as well.I really enjoyed the steelers'playing,also.I want to thank you for allowing me to sing a few of my favorite gospel songs,with my new friends Faye and Zoe singing harmony with me.As you know,they sing with the Hackett Family Southern Gospel group.
Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
