Does anybody know what Paul's rig would have been for the non pedal work with The Players, Shania, etc in the 80's/90's? To preempt the snark that sometimes occurs, I understand that tone is in the hands, but having the right pieces in the tool box goes a long way. I love the way he captures some of the, dare I say, Allman tones with metal picks and bars . I haven't quite figured out the right setup to achieve that. Thanks for your help! _________________ MSA Legend XL, Quilter Amps, Peterson Tuners. |

I'm interested in figuring out the electronic side of it. Nothing really got resolved on the other feed haha. It's some kind of lap steel with guitar-like pickups as opposed to the high ohm pups on our pedal steels. I can't figure out if he has a box for that tone or a separate amp _________________ MSA Legend XL, Quilter Amps, Peterson Tuners. |
