Big thank you to Jason at www.reddirtcases.com for my split cases. Perfect fit for my Zum Hybrid and a real back saver for this 62 year old!

Yep. I have to agree. Perfect fit for my p/p. ATA rated. Wheels. It only costs a little more to go First Class - and well worth the extra money.

Weight? I don't know. They're not light. But, they have good wheels and they protect my guitars. Call or email Jason and he can probably tell you exactly. |

I have two Red Dirt cases, very well built and they are heavy, but it is the mission of the case to die so that the guitar might live. The one piece case that was included with my Infinity, and it does weigh a lot, but the fit and finish is perfect. I also have a two-piece flight-grade case by Red Dirt that is monstrous heavy, but it's not for everyday use; if I want to fly an Emmons wraparound somewhere, I want to have the best odds of its survival.
That said, I usually use a two-piece Justice case for my everyday gigging, but even that's getting to be a bit much, so I need to order a Brand X case from Steve. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

very nice Wally, thats exactly the split cases I have for my Zum Hybrids -- the body case goes 26kg with the guitar in it...so it's a tad over the 23kg/50lb limit for flying with Air NZ ... unless you want to pay of course.
fantastic cases and a lot easier on the back !! Jaydee put me on to them when him and I played at the Aussie Steel show last year - he flew his PP in those same cases.

I bought a new D10 MSA at The Dallas steel show
It came with a Red Dirt case as standard
At the Airport,... there was no lifts working, so I sent the guitar, up the escalator to Ted Nesbitt at the top...He missed catching it and it tumbled end over end all the way back down, and slammed into a wall at the bottom......
The guitar survived without a scratch and the case suffered only minor damage..............
Better still , when I called red dirt ..they very kindly shipped me all the parts to repair the case at no charge including the postage to Ireland.
These cases are as good as it gets and worth every penny |

Excuse the newbie question, but how is a "split" case different from a regular case?
Thanks,

Mark, the legs, pedal bar and rods go in one case and the body goes in another. A D-10 (or even an SD-10) in a one piece flight case is so darn heavy. Going to a 2 piece case is a great solution to the weight problem. . |

Paddy...That was a couple of years back...
You really wouldn't want to test the case the way I did it..........I mean the thing was 10 feet in the air and bouncing all the way down the escalator..
I doubt any other case would have stayed in one piece .....
All my MSA's have red dirt cases...
Wally....... I will have to look at the split idea ... sure makes sense....
.
Oh and I really liked your video, of Don't fret..nice job .Please post some more........... |

I'm probably another just another name to you.
However I have been a lot closer than you think...I sat beside you in the big hall at Dallas this year....I think it was when the superb Buck Reid was doing his set............
I will keep a look out for your next post
Keep well ...

When I needed my Emmons PP to get to Scotland in playable condition and return to Texas I trusted Red Dirt Cases. Fits like a glove! _________________ 1975 Emmons P/P D-10, Sierra Sesion D-10, Dekley HS-210, Sho-Bud "Blue Darlin" V, Evans FET-500HV amp,Goodrich L-120 pedal |

The "Red Dirt Cases" folks built a ton of cases for the band I was on the road with. They drove out to a gig about two hours or so from them to deliver a couple of mine. The red case is mine. They imprinted the band logo and my name on my amp case.
