Got a great old 1976 Session 400 with the original JBL in it and it sounds fine - Thinking about eliminating a little weight - I have a 1501-4 DT Peavey and thinking about trying it with one of lighter Neo Magnets - Worth a try, or am I going to be disappointed?
Otherwise I might just build a split cabinet for it. _________________ Ron Petersen |

I bet you'd be happy with the Sica or the Eminence Kappalite. I've run both and been happy _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Can't I just change to the newer peavey magnet? _________________ Ron Petersen |

If you can find one. I thought they were out of production. I was merely commenting on the two neo 15s I've played. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Hello Ron,
The original Black Widow speaker at the time that the Session 400 was in production used the old flat BW magnet, which will not retro fit the newer BW magnets, therefore, the new neo magnets are not compatible with the older BW. The complete neo BW would have to be used.

Mike, I thought the 1501-4DT was a new type. That's the BW he said he had. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Believe that the later model that the neo magnet was designed to fit was the '1501-4 SB" or shallow basket. |

Actually, it will fit any BWX model. |

So.. Does that mean it will fit the 1501-4 DT?
I thought the magnets were the same for the DT & SB _________________ Ron Petersen |

Yes Ron. The SB and DT take the same magnet. The neo fits both. The neo will fit your DT.
It's just the earlier style Spider Webs that won't interchange parts with the later ones. |
