Today I got two spam emails purporting to come from Bill. Obvious spam. Bill needs to change his email password immediately. If anyone knows how to reach him by phone or in person, please tell him asap. _________________ www.JimCohen.com

Hello,
Sorry for any inconvenience,I traveled to Istanbul center of bone marrow transplant Turkey to see my Cousin who is critically ill.she is been diagnosed with (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). I was advised that the only way She can survive is by undergoing a BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant)The estimate for the Transplant is $6,500. I have already spent approx. $4,000 cash towards her treatment so am wondering if you can help me with a loan of $2,500 to make the necessary arrangement for the surgery to be carried out.Your help and support will give her a chance to live a normal life once again. I will surely pay you back as soon as I return. I will appreciate whatever you can help me with.
Thanks,
Bill Stafford

Guys,
don't put email addresses in posts. Email bots troll for these!. Emails, phone numbers should only be but in private stuff. _________________ Dr. Z Surgical Steel amp, amazing!

The search bots won't catch it, but it't's easy for us to figure out. I've gotten a bunch of emails from members asking for money in dire circumstances. All fake! Be careful! _________________ Dr. Z Surgical Steel amp, amazing!

This is a frequently used fraud pattern. Receiving e-mails that seem to be genuine, from friends who are in need of urgent money donations because they need medical help, are abroad etc. Never respond, open links or attachments! I received one of those messages sometime ago, pretending to come from a friend of mine who was stuck in Portugal - too bad that I was having lunch with this person only a few hours earlier.
John is absolutely right - never put your e-mail address in text messages without altering it. Also, FB is very vulnerable for this.
Kind Regards, Walter _________________ www.lloydgreentribute.com |
