Hello everybody
I'm new here, I just got my Thomas D10 Pedal steel a month ago or so. I decided to get a Roland Cube 80GX amp for now until I save some money for the NV112. I'have played a lot with the settings of the amp but I can't seem to get a decent sound expecially on the lowest strings 7,8,9,10. Can you people post your settings to help me find a good sound for my pedal steel please? Pictures are welcomed Smile
I also have a Boss Reverb RV5, feel free to share also your RV5 settings if you got one too!!!

Thanx,

Jurij

Hi Jurij...here is a link to a recent discussion re using the reverb on the Cube 80GX. I know that doesn't answer your question regarding the settings but will put you in contact with other discussions on the GX. I am only on the computer for a few minutes this morning so if I get time this afternoon I will post a couple settings that have been recommended by other owners of the Roland Cube 80XL/GX. http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=301025&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=

Hi Jurij....further to my last, here are a couple of settings that other players are using.
CLEAN CHANNEL - (1) bass full on, mid 9 o'clock, treble 11 o'clock, presence 11 o'clock, touch of plate reverb.
(2) bass full on or 3 o'clock, mid 3 o'clock, treble 11 o'clock, presence 10-11 o'clock, touch of plate reverb.
LEAD CHANNEL - black panel, bass full on, mid/treble 12 o'clock, presence 12 o'clock, reverb touch of plate, gain 2nd notch.
I have played around with all of the above and tend to migrate more to the Lead Channel settings. I only play at home so there could be quite a difference playing in different venues. Also, I assume the type of guitar you are playing will have some effect on the settings. In the end, you are the one who will best determine what setting to use. Have fun with it, the Cube 80GX is a great amp.
