looks like i need a pot for a Goodrich 120 since
mine is now scratchy. where do I get one nowdays?
no response from the new Goodrich.

Rick, he said he had no response from the new Goodrich.
That DOES sound odd, try calling them.
There's also Jerry Roller or Tom Bradshaw, and both will put leads on them for you.

Sorry I did not get to this post earlier.
Yep, I stock the new Goodrich Volume Pots and Volume Pedals.
My intent is to be a source for steelers at a very fair price.

Common mistakes/things to watch for:
Don't let the brass collar rub the bracket. 1/32" is adequate clearance.
Take pictures of the string routing.
It's easier to do if you separate the halves.
There's a set screw holding the axle in the bottom half.

Also, remember that the pedal won't go from full on to full off. This is by design to protect the pot.
It's easiest to set it for full-on operation.
Once the two halves are back together, rotate pot to fully clockwise and press the pedal down. Wrap the string, keeping it semi-tight (no slack, but too tight and it will put stress on the pot).
