I bought this late 1930's Oahu a couple months ago and love it. However, the high E string is a little weak. The pickup has 6 poles, but when I look at the back, it see only 4 adjustment screws (see photos below).

Any idea how I can boost the output for the 1st string?

Thanks!
David

I don't believe the poles are adjustable on that pickup. I've never seen a horseshoe pickup with adjustable poles, for the simple reason that they'd be inaccessible. The screws in the back are probably holding the whole thing together, not intended for adjustment.

I bet getting the magnets recharged would help!
