Anyone know where you can get the clear bar storage tubes like some bars come in?

Try any science lab, ask for a 50 mil falcon. It's heavy duty protection with a screw top.

I have several bars I bought and was looking for the same thing. I decided to use 1 inch pvc with end caps on each end. You can glue one end or not. Works quite well!

Instead of storage tubes, I went with one of those parts bin organizers like you get at Walmart/Lowes/Home Depot. They have removable sections to accommodate different sizes.

I store all my bars/picks/etc. in this handy case which fits in my pack-a-seat. But in my case, I have a lot of "support gear", lol, so at present I have 8 or 9 bars and a bunch of picks.

It's very handy to have them all neatly organized like this if you feel like carrying this organizer around, that is.

Hey, Scott, go to the convenience store and see if they still sell M&Ms minis ... They come in flip - top plastic tubes just made for bar storage, cheap. And you can save the chocolate for brownie points at home.

Years ago I picked up a bunch of heavy duty stitched nylon pocket knife holders, with belt loops. I use one for my Stevens bar, one for my capo, and one for my thumbpick & fingerpicks. They are particularly handy for walking onto the stage while holding a dobro, and while needing to free up a hand for microphone adjustments or whatever. The bar slips into and out of the case on the belt very quickly and easily.

I saw this thread and wanted to protect all of my bars from Michael Hillman. I just bought 15 of the nylon sheath pouches for pocket knives with belt loops for $20 with free shipping off of ebay.
Smile Smile fair enough deal.

Dick, can you provide a link to what you bought?

To comment on some other posts, I have the sorting boxes, but still like the bars in a tube in the box.

M&M Minis, haven't been able to find them, but if I do, I'll buy some (and eat them...).

Nylon knife holder, good idea for the Dobro bar...

Is Michael Hillman a threat to your bars?

Hahaha!! That's what I get for writing at 1 AM in the morning Steve. Michael's bars are the very best I have ever found.

Hi Scott. the ebay seller is fuxin0524. The current item I bought through is #222094432711. Listed at 1.56 each/make offer.
I wrote and asked if he could supply me with 15 for $20 shipped. Had an answer within 30 minutes, and done. You could probably buy these perhaps at even a dollar or less each.
