A very sad day for me to announce the death of David Irwin of Douglasville, Ga. He was a great musician and played lead guitar, steel guitar, fiddle, banjo, and sax. In addition to being a multi-talented musician he was a super, compassionate person who loved people. David had recently inherited some money from his Mom's passing and decided to treat himself to the Harley-Davidson he had always wanted. Last Thursday a truck pulled out in front of him without any warning and David was killed almost instantly.

David and I played many gigs over the 40 years of our relationship. I will certainly miss making music with him but mostly I'll miss his friendship and his ever-present smile. Go with God and R.I.P. my brother.

Aw, just dang it. I played many a job with David. Talented, sweet guy. Sorry for everyone who knew him.

I remember David very well from my years in Atlanta...I played many a gig with the man...He wound up buying my Fender 75 road amp years ago...He somehow was able to get a tone out of it that I couldn't find to save my life...We will miss you David, old friend...
