The JB 'take' must be a few years old, (maybe not), but isn't it great ? Ya gotta include this site amongst your "FAVORITES". Thanks Andy! |

As for the solo Ukulele soundbite ... well ...just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD. ![](http://steelguitarforum.com/smile.gif) |

Did anybody else notice that the great slack key guitarist Led Kaapaana was playing lead (standard tuning) on the Darlene Ahuna video clip? Nice camera work on his fingerings too - good lesson in standard tuning Hawaiian vamps. Led also plays a mean uke and autoharp (!). He's a consumate musician with a great sense of humor.
If you ever have the chance to see Led play live, don't pass it up.
Aloha,
Bill

I bought a video from Jack Byrd (Jerry's brother) that had that show and two public TV specials on it. The camera work shows him playing from "above" - very cool. Ned Kaapana (Led's twin brother) does a number with him - very pretty stuff. I have two CD's with Jerry backing Nedward and I highly recommend them. Special thanks to KHET for recording this; to Andy for showing us where it was and to Jack Stoner for pointing me towards Quicktime. And to those two Byrd boys, Jack and Jerry. I know you've heard it a million times so once more wouldn't hurt.... Thanks for all the music, all these years !!
Sincerest Regards, Paul. |

Darn. It's up on our site, but it's in a directory that can't be accessed. The permissions have been changed. Sorry. I'll get it up as soon as possible. The guy who works with this kind of stuff is on vacation. |
