Hello,
I've been kicking around the idea of relocating to Grass Valley. I was wondering if there were any pedal steelers up that way that could enlighten me on the area:
Any good venues, bands, music stores, etc?
What about the area, quality of life, schools, etc?
Any areas to avoid?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe |

Larry Tracy is in Nevada City right next to Grass Valley, Peter Grant is down the road a little in Auburn... _________________ Dave Zirbel-

Oh yeah, I think I met Larry years ago when our bands were on the same bill somewhere.
Tom, you're moving up to the Gold Country? |

Maybe Joseph. I'm doing time as a state employee. I could retire tomorrow, 4/1, but I'll probably put in one more year.
I've lived in a lot of places, but I have no real "home" to go to. Nevada City seems like a good place. So did France until recently. I doubt if I'll go back to Tokyo and Mendocino is nothing like it used to be when I lived there.
Right now I'm buying instruments. Got a Rickenbacker 360/12 today. Have a National Resophonic Tricone coming next week and I just picked up a serious fiddle. My friends who have retired say to get your goodies before you retire. I'm dong that... _________________ I need an Emmons! |
