Pair of clean early 00's Nashville 112E's. Factory installed 1203-4 BW 4 ohm 12" speakers.
These speakers and cabinets were designed specifically for steel guitar. Special design paper cones deemed more suitable for instrument use, not the later Kevlar units.
No lack of bottom end here. Mids and His are very smooth. Rated @350W RMS so they'll take about anything your steel rig can throw at 'em.
I also have a pair of '80's or early '90's 8 ohm Super Structure paper cone 1201-8 drivers with the alum. dust caps that I can substitute if you like. Basically, I can configure the cabs with drivers of either model or one of ea., however you want 'em.
Good condition...no issues...sound great. Only thing I know of is a couple of the rubber bumpers are a bit squashed.
Ea. Pc.= 20X15X14 in. 45#. Carpeted boxes, metal grilles.
Shipping is not cheap. Prefer a regional deal for pickup or 1/2 way meet within a reasonable distance for cash.
Don't do paypal. Verifiable forum members only in US.
Want to sell as a pair, don't want to separate the speakers from cabs except as noted.
$375 for the pr. sold as is, where is. In the event of shipping, freight is on buyer.

No Gary. Thanks for your inquiry. The old 1203 paper cone speakers for steel are no longer produced. The current 1203's, if they are even still available, are a different frequency curve, voiced for PA apps and are Kevlar impregnated. |

I bought a pair of these new in 1996 with those exact speakers. I bought an extra basket as I figured I would blow one being a 12" speaker and driving them with a DPC 1000. Nineteen years later they are still rockin' and that extra basket is still in the closet! What a speaker! I got some JBL's in a trade a few years ago and put them in. I did one gig and put the BW's right back in! In addition to my rack system I've used them with tube and solid state heads. They've been a million miles in buses, trailers and the backs of pickups and still look pretty good. That carpet covering is tough stuff! |

Appreciate the reinforcement David. This is the model that Jeff Newman used for the last several yrs. of his life. [RIP]. Use a pair of these in a stereo config and I can assure you, you won't miss your 15's.
I've got 1203's and other BW speakers coming out my ears or I'd just keep them, might anyway.
These are just waiting for the right person to come along. Great pair, fair price. Nothing else to say.

Shipping is going to be expensive on these. I've done 4 quotes in the last week. Shipping costs to the West Coast are $150 FedEx ground. That's 2 separate packages with me doing the packing and buying the materials. Kansas City area was 80-$85. USPS used to be cheaper, but has gone up higher than FedEx now.
Unless you live close to 40201, that's the best we can do. I don't have any control over freight charges.. It costs what it costs, so don't bother asking for a lesser fee. The price is firm and the shipping, whatever it is, is on the buyer.
In light of buyers' reluctance to foot the shipping bill, I've decided to restrict sales to the local region where I can meet someone halfway in the area of Nashville, Indy, Cincy etc. or just put 'em back in the closet.
I will not rule out shipping, but be aware and willing to pay whatever it costs. Thanks.

I've had the same pair for over a decade, I am quite unable to kill 'em, or even, seemingly wear them down. Every time I try something else, they don't sound as good as the Widows. Probably kind of a stupid thing to complain about. |

You're Welcome. That's all good to hear. Glad you're pleased with them and that the shipping was without issues.
You got a fine pair of cabinets w/factory stock speakers. Thanks for the purchase.
We can close this one now. JO. |
