I have a buddy who wants to sell me a 83 i think twin II. It's kinda the last of the hand wired twins I guess, so my research has told me. I have played plenty of master volume silver face twins but this one is different than that. It has blackface cosmetics but not bf. It's got EV12l'S in it.Ok I have never seen one or played one but it may work for steel but before I go check it out I figured I'd get some opinions.
I know this thing weighs a ton and while I'd rather have lighter amps I don't really mind the weight as long as it sounds good.
Any pros or cons? All input is very appreciated.

Well I checked it out.
No good for steel, plenty of volume but no character at all. Definitely not like any twin I've played

If you want something lighter, there are several good options. The Quilter Steelaire and Milkman half and half both weigh around 33 pounds and sound great.
