If you have both a Steelaire amp and a Wet Reverb, give this a try. I really like the "Hybrid" combination.

Run the Wet Reverb in the effects loop of the amp I have the Wet Reverb mix at 12 o'clock and depth set at 2 o'clock. The amp reverb is set on 5, dwell and tone both on 4.

The amp reverb and the Wet reverb are both excellent reverbs and can stand on their own. I like the sound better with the two working together as a team.

Give it a try and see what you think.

I don't own a Wet Reverb but I too may try my Holy Grail pedal. Sounds like a fun experiment.

I will say that I use a Holy Grail with my Stereo Steel amp (which has no reverb) and I have found pleasing results, I run it thru the effects in and out circuit. when I used it in line after the volume pedal it sucked!

I'll try the HG thru the effects loop of the Quilter.

Just my observations.

I use a Holy Grail after my volume pedal, with a Peavy Valeverb before my volume pedal. Together they complement each other very well. So much better than one by itself and better than one combined with a delay. They give me a purity of tone and all the depth I need. A delay pedal just muddies the sound. The Valveverb is great because it includes a 30w amp that blows the notes thru the Goodrich volume pedal beautifully. No lost of tone or volume thru my passive volume pedal. And also the 3 knob tone control for the reverb gives a certain magic to the reverb, particularly the treble knob. I'm happier than a drunken hillbilly at an auction. I'm now looking for a loop switcher that doesn't alter the purity of the tone. There are some good ones out there that I haven't tried yet. I have a Hardwire phase shifter with numerous settings that can be real nice, but I want to put that in the loop and out of my signal path.

On the 1030 o'clock setting for hall I use on my Holy Grail, I was wondering if a Wet Reverb could be any better, since I've read so much good about it. But I thinking not because where the Grail really shines for me is the long tail of the hall. The Wet so I hear, is not a spring, nor room or hall but it's own thing.

Neuaber Wet Reverb is one of the very best reverbs I've ever used, my opinion of course. I've had quite a few and still have some, Blue Sky and Benado to name a few, you'd never go wrong with the Wet Reverb, I've yet to program the Reverb and Echo program that is available for the stereo Wet pedal I have but will have to soon. Lot of good electronics available these days. The real truth of the matter in todays market is how does it sound to YOU. The quality of the many makers today are pretty darn good! I used the Peavey Profex for years with Jeff's setting I got from him, to compare the sound quality to today's electronics is very evident, again to me. Not trying to derail the thread, I do own a Steelaire and find the on board reverb very good.

I have a Holy Grail unit I use some and a Fender FRV 63 ... The FRV 63 has the true sound of the first reverb units that were made and used tubes. I however really like the unit I replaced in my Session 500... It is made by MOD , its the long tank style but has 3 springs instead of 2. What once was reverb at set at 4 , I now get at 2. It has really good depth and the delay is perfect to keep the tail from sounding "springy" I do however still like the Peavey Profex, I recently got one and love the sound of it!
