I'll second and third that. John is very approachable and a wonderful guy to work with. He's not only a great player, but also a terrific teacher. |

John Ely on Skype and Troy with some solid video's on C6 lap -- both are good. I've used both myself and recommend them. (FWIW)

Hi - I recommend Mike Neer. I have studied with him. He is a great musician that has a passion for lap steel. _________________ Supro double neck, Sierra D10, Evans SE200, 40 or so guitars and basses. |

If you have more than a passing interest in Hawaiian steel, I heartedly recomment Alan Akaka. Alan was one of Jerry Byrd's prime students, and you'll learn "touch and tone" ala Byrd from him. His school is "Ke Kula Mele" (The Music School) - http://www.kekulamele.com/. _________________ Jack Aldrich

Thanks for the mention, Edward, but I'm longer teaching at this time. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |
