SOLD! The Sho-Bud is moving to Nashville. Donation forthcoming.

I'm selling my 1973 Sho-Bud 6139 3x4. It's in great playing and cosmetic shape. It's a wonderful instrument -- beautifully decorated, and has that great old Sho-Bud sound. I hate to part with it, but I just bought an Emmons PP, and need to make room.

The previous owner undertook a major renovation project for this guitar, which you can read about here:

http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=243996&highlight=

Everything is configured according to this Emmons copedent:

http://b0b.com/wp/?page_id=684

... except RKL raises the first string all the way to G#, with a feel stop at G.
... and RKR has an additional raise on the 8th string to G# with a feel stop at G.

I've recently replaced the coil tap, as it was wired incorrectly when I purchased the instrument. The only other repair it's had since I purchased it was to repair a broken coupling in the RKL, which is now good as new.

The original case and a very nice D2F padded dust cover are included.

$1599 + shipping.

If you're in or around Chicago and want to pick it up, that's fine by me. No international shipping. Sorry.

Square Cash, Chase QuickPay, or PayPal preferred. If using PayPal, please send the money as a gift, or add 2.9% to the amount to cover fees.

High-resolution photos available upon request.

I've played it a few times and this is a great sounding and playing steel. Kip takes good care of his stuff and is a good guy to deal with. Nice price, too!
