Be great to see you Junior. I don't know if you can get them to do this but I wish MSA and other makers afar as that goes, would have a guitar set up Day style. Always wanted to try an MSA but nobody cares about us Day players enough to have a guitar set up Day style. _________________ Henry Matthews

Are they still making MSA's? I emailed Kyle a few weeks ago and never got an answer..... _________________ JCH D10, 71 D10 P/p fat back, Telonics TCA 500C--12-,Fender JBL Twin, Josh Swift signature. |

I'll be visiting that room for sure. Would love to spend some time behind a Studio Pro. And watch Junior at it!!! That's worth the trip alone. _________________ Williams SD10 ZumD10 Fessenden D10 . Evans RE150 peavey N400's GKMB 200 emminence speakers!, Live steel strings. |

Hey Henry, ask them if you can back off the pull on the E string on the C pedal and then you could noodle around using it as the A pedal. I used to do that when I'd visit a friend of mine who used the Day setup and it'd work OK except for the E knee levers being backwards but if they're on the right knee it wouldn't matter.....JH in Va. _________________ Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!! |

Jerry, never even thought of that but would work good just to try, thanks. It's not the knee levers that mess me up, just the pedals.
I just wish the venders would have a Day guitar to really try out good. Carter was the only one that ever specifically had a Day set up guitar and guess what, I bought one. This was years ago. _________________ Henry Matthews

I have followed Jr. Knight since the 1970's when I saw him every Saturday on the Cowboy Weaver show. It will be so good to see him again and watch him play. He was a major influence in me wanting to play steel guitar. |

Was that Junior on Cowboy Weaver show? Didn't know that, can just barley remember watching it. I wasn't playing steel then but I think they were lip syncing that whole show or just mocking behind tracks I mean.
Maybe Junior won't read this, he may get the big head but was and still is in top three of my favorites. Love his style and taste. _________________ Henry Matthews

Junior is certainly a KICK-BUTT picker......very clean and tasteful......one of my steel guitar heroes. I will be in Ft Worth that weekend on the other side of town as the steel guitarist for the AWA Awards Show. For those of you who may not know, AWA is Academy Of Western Arts (Will Rogers). I played the show last year, too. I'm going to try and sneak away for a bit and catch some of the TSGA show. There are always some great players......and it will be the first time for me......, _________________ HAL...Excel D-10 w/ 8 & 5. Henry, Jr. Knight played for his father-in-law Dewey Groom and the Longhorn Ballroom Band. They were always the guests on the weekly show. Gary Hogue and Gary Carpentar also played on the show as well but it was before they started the lip sync. |

Wow, thanks Paul. I remember seeing the Cowboy Weaver show but that was way before my musical journey. Always liked the show. _________________ Henry Matthews

Junior,
It was an honor to sit in with you and David at the steel show this year (I was the "kid" on the telecaster ; ) What a great time, I enjoyed every minute (once I got my darned guitar plugged in...) Blessings to you and yours.
