I play an ext e9th peda steel and they only have the u12 sweetened tuning on the new stroboplus. Any suggestions? Thanks

Create your own, or modify the E9th 10 string. Its easily done, on line then loaded to your tuner. That is the big plus of the new tuner over older ones.
I created my own E9th, based on the existing Newman's, by incorporating everything except two 4th string changes into one. Rather than the two that Peterson programs in. In addition I have changes that are common today that were not around when Newman developed his tuning charts and those were incorporated into my custom Tuning. Same thing with the C6th, I modified the Newman and put all into one program (except for the 3rd string lower). |

I guess I don't know why E9th and U12 wouldn't be the same - All the same strings.
Mine is the StroboPlus HD and Sue programmed mine before I got it- Settings for U12, U12 pedals, E9th, E9th Pedals, C6th, C6th pedals, Guitar, Bass.
Maybe you can download what you want.

PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send the chart to you. Better yet, if you are registered with Peterson I can "share" my programs with you and all you have to do is add the extra two strings.
To make your own or modify an existing program, Peterson forces you to have Google Chrome to access the "Peterson Connect" site to do the programming. You then transfer (download) to your tuner via the Peterson Connect program on your PC.
There are several tutorials on youtube on doing this. |

Scott, can you tune it up by ear after tuning the Es to a tuner (listening to eliminate the beats)?
That's the first step in making your own chart.
Tune by ear, set the tuner to basic ET.
Then use the tuner to measure the deviation of each note. Write down the values, then input them into your new tuner temperament.

Peterson backed off requiring Chrome at one point. I just checked the Peterson Connect desktop application and it still works. |

Just ordered one of these today. Glad to see others using this tuners. Practically impossible to tune on stage with noise!!
