OK I really tried to live with the setup it came with but I have decided to change.

I want to move the RKR (Lowers 4 and 8)to LKR. There is not a lever in that position now so I actually will be adding a Knee. I want to disconnect the RKR but leave it there for a future change should I decide to add something. I have never done anything to a steel other than tune my P/P Emmons. I will need extra parts and patience to accomplish this, where can I get the parts I need and how much effort will this take. I should add I HATE working on anything mechanical but I will make an exception for my steel.

Ollin--yes, get the parts from Don. Feel free to write me if you want some step by step help in doing the hands-on work. I don't play my BMI anymore (S-10----I went to U-12) but I did plenty of setup changes on it when I was playing it. As things go, it's not particularly difficult to work on. Sometimes you have to finesse the cotter pin into the rod end at the bell crank--a good sturdy needle nose pliers is a must.
Anyway--get in touch if you wish and I'll work with you.
