I've had several emails asking why the Rains Steel Guitar topic was closed.

It's Forum policy to close any topic when then person who starts it requests closure. There was no reason given, but I think it was because he felt that his questions had been answered.

There's nothing in that topic that violates Forum rules in any way. Any discussion of Rains Steel Guitars is of course welcome on this Forum. That's what we're here for.

Before I say too much; I will say this.
The Rains pedal steel guitar is a Wonderful design. As many of the new pedal steels out today have very similar designs and parts; there also happens to be Many Many differences in the mechanical working parts, that make a large difference in playability and Tone. When one looks at one part of the mechanical design or a specific part of the mechanical chain and says: "Well that is just like that other guitar or this other design"; well I can tell you this> "LOOK AGAIN" And "MEASURE AGAIN"...ha....as the Rains Steel Guitar is Genious design in every part of the mechanical chain. I have much much more to say; but I'll hold off for now.

hey Ricky my friend,

what you said is true absolutly true

thats the difference between the guitars (today)

and that will be the point too if a guitar stays in tune or play smooth and sounded great and so on

and what Bob Rains is making is absolutly top notch wonderfull design very precise craftmanship "state of the art"
