I sold guitar on eBay, buyer paid by PayPal, and then PayPal decided they will hold my money for 180 days, buyer insisted on paying only thru PayPal, so I cancelled the transaction, and guitar is for sale again, no PayPal this time lol ... guitar had some parts missing, and some wrong parts installed, I took it to Jeff Surrat at Show Pro, and he went thru the whole guitar, replaced the wrong parts, and serviced everything that need to be serviced...guitar is in perfect condition now... I am not sure about the trade, I would probably need to sell it cash at this point... let me think about it _________________ www.steelguitarsonline.com |

Karen, this guitar has same undercarriage as a Super Pro, but aluminum necks unlike Super Pro that has wooden necks... there may be some other details, but I'm thinking the metal necks would be the main difference... _________________ www.steelguitarsonline.com |

thanks Karen, this guitar actually sold on eBay for $3400, but because of the PayPal situation I had to cancel the transaction... green is very rare color for Pro III's, I think this is the only green Pro III I have ever seen... it could have been a custom order or something... guitar of course sounds great, and after Jeff Surratt went thru it, it plays like a dream... _________________ www.steelguitarsonline.com |

I think that, given the gumby headstock, this has a longer body than the Super Pro and thus would weigh more. I have never owned one of these though, so that is really just a guess. There are probably plenty of people who own or have owned both and could weigh in.
One clear difference (which may or may not be of any consequence) is the step-up between necks on the underside. On a Super Pro that would be flat across the two necks. |
