Because of the many recommendations here on the forum of a Fender Blues Jr. for non pedal steel, i finally got one should be here today. Just out of curiosity what are the settings some of you blues jr. users use ? I'll mainly be using it with a Fender Dual Pro. Thanks, Will

I don't use one, but I tend to follow Jerry Byrd's recommendation when I set up at amp. Put the bass on ten and then add middle and treble until it sounds good.

Are you looking for a driven sound, something really clean, or something in between?

I usually crank up the low, mid, and high to 12, and then I roll off the high until I find a sound that's big, clear and without any shrillness (or "shrillity"...is that a word or a George Dubya-ism? ). I've found that the gain set around 4 1/2 - 6(depending on the master volume, of course) gives a nice edgy, but not "driven" sound. A nice natural overdrive, very responsive to picking, cleans up very nicely when picking lightly or when you roll back the volume pedal.

Got a lotta punch for a 15 watt amp. 30lbs...sweet.

Love mine too. Lot's of options with the gain, volume and three tones. I tend to always use the "Fat" switch too.
Only drawback is the poor reverb. At best it gives an "echo" effect, nothing like my old Vibra-Champ. I use a pedal to make up for it.
