Lap steel pickups upcycling

I have to hold my hands up in that I am guilty of carving up a few old steels to create another instrument.

This is my Dave King tele with a 52 Horseshoe at the bridge. The pickup came from an SD which I now regret doing but I love the tele more!!! A few Valco,s over the years have also bitten the dust.
Although I would now just go straight to Jason lollar and keep a clear conscience.
