Dale, you left before we got to playing (PeeWee not me). But I played this clip for him that he recorded years back and he had the biggest grin reflecting back. Amazing playing to say the least!

Great pics David. What a treasure is PeeWee Whitewing. Fine picking on that audio clip. Not very familiar with the Cajun music but love his western swing and big band stuff.

I had the pleasure of sharing a conversation with him in St. Louis one year at the snack bar. He talked with me like he'd known me all my life. Such a sincere and down to earth man. I'll never forget how nice he was to me.

I wish you well PeeWee.

Jerry, that is Peewee's nature. He makes everyone feel like a longtime friend and is so humble and down to earth. He had many stories of past decades with so many big names of yesteryear. He and Curly Chalker were great friends and he picked up a lot from Curly including wearing 3 finger picks and amazing chords that most can't find. We had a wonderful day that I will always treasure. That dobro in the pics he has had since he was a teenager and it's an amazing instrument. It resonates amazingly well and in mint condition. He still plays it well.

As for his playing, he is a true master and that Cajun song, as well as others he played, just shows how truly versatile he is. His Western swing style is hard to beat. He treasures his Pedalmaster which is the guitar he used on most of his recordings. He also has a D-10 MCI range expander that rather than having a serial number stenciled it has "Buddy Emmons" stenciled underneath the end plate. He treasures that as much as his dobro and Pedalmaster. He is just a great all around guy and at 82, he is living history of music!
