This is fatback push-pull #1479-D that was rebuilt by the late Bryan Adams. The gloss black mica and aluminum are in excellent condition. The guitar is currently set up with 8 pedals and 7 knee levers. An Excel file of the copedent is here: https://app.box.com/s/wz6fy34a11cv2lgoxnjn15jt4051au3u
This guitar has the wider "60's-style" pedal spacing. It is fitted with Wallace True Tone pickups (E9: 17.2 k, C6: 17.5 k).
There is the so-called "fake split" installed that allows you lower the 6th string to a tunable half-tone when used in conjunction with the A pedal. This is a great change to have and it works very well, and does not impact the action of the A pedal whatsoever.
The knee levers have tilt adjusting screws, so you can really fine tune the lever positions to suit. There are physical stops on all the knee levers as there should be for a positive feel. The guitar also has Grover 210 series tuners that are very smooth and solid. There is an idler installed on the 3rd pedal raise to slightly shorten its travel.
The guitar also has lightweight aluminum legs and gauged roller nuts.
There is a decal on the guitar instead of a badge. This is not original, but I do have a Emmons badge that I will include in case the new owner wants to replace the decal. There is currently no decal on the pedal bar, but I have a decal that I will include in case the new owner wants to add it.
This is a fantastic "player's guitar". It is rock solid mechanically, and it sounds great and has better than average sustain, especially up high above the 12th fret. It plays very smooth and positive.
A Thomas case in excellent condition is included. There is a D2F leg bag that is included as well.
The price of this guitar is $5000.00 plus shipping.
PM or email me if you have any questions.

Hi Tommy, Is this the guitar you used to record with Doug Sham back a few years ago? If so it is a killer sounding steel and you are a super picker. It is a beautiful guitar and I wish you luck on your sale. J.R. Rose _________________ NOTHING..Sold it all. J.R. Rose |

Thanks JR! No, this is not the guitar I used on the Doug Sahm record. That was an '85 Zumsteel... _________________ Tommy Detamore

Tom....is this guitar you used at the 2015 Helotes Cornyval? If it is someone will be getting an excellent sounding push pull! _________________ Cremation is my last shot at having a hot body...... |

Tommy: I sure wish I could justify getting this one for my collection. It's a beautiful rare piece for sure, and worth every penny of your asking price. If I were selling it, the price would go up by $100. a week until it sold. I say keep it. If you need the money, sell something else. Tommy...... |

Thanks Tommy! Yeah I hate to do it. I'm sure it's gonna be another "one that got away". _________________ Tommy Detamore

Beautiful guitar Tommy, it doesn't get any better than that. I own 1478D, also black. It may not be the best sounding guitar there is, but I've never heard one that sounds better. |
