Seeing another thread about a Fender 400 made me think of mine. I owned this guitar for a short time starting in about 1971 and must admit I stupidly refinished the blond topside and just put a clear-coat over the beautiful maple. Everything else was original. It was in a battered but sound tweed case. If you have this guitar, let me know. I'm not trying to get it back just thought I would fill you in on some of its history (not that it is that exciting).

| Fred, a lot of these guitars had the finish stripped, so it might help if you told us a little more about the guitar. Was the frame black or silver? Did it have the non-roller nut and "hog ring" changer, or was it a later (short-scale) roller nut and cam-bridge variety? (A tweed case, if original, usually indicates the former.) Did it have silver pedals? |

the frame was silver, not sure about the nut or changer. It did have silver pedals and I did not re-finish the frame to which the pedals were attached.
