I did a demo on the C9 pedal. The B9 sounds cool also. I want to try the Key 9 lead at some point.

I used my boss's B9 for a bit, but I tried them side-by-side at Guitar Center, and I went with the C9. The sounds are just a little more versatile for what I want to do. One problem I do have is that the power supply I have for it (Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2 Plus) seems to have too soft of a startup curve or something, so the pedal doesn't boot up until I unplug and plug it back in.

I can't say I was enthralled with the video demo of the Key9. It seems like a pretty major oversight to not include a Fender Rhodes sound in the pedal.

What are the main difference of the B and C models? What does one do that the other doesn't in your experiences and test drives?

It's just the different sounds they produce. They B9 focuses pretty strictly on different B3 drawbar settings. The C9 has a few B3 settings, but also branches into other non-B3 organs (suitcase organ used in Light My Fire). It also has some non-organ stuf like the Mellotron flute sound; that's a pretty cool setting for use with slide/steel guitar to get an almost ethereal sound.

Hi Tim, I get the C9 and the B9 pedal mixed up. Glad you are enjoying it. When you think of the older antiquated units with seperate pickups and sound modules, the EH units give you a very authentic sound with a simple 1/4 inch Jack hookup.
