Now I've got that tune endlessly running through my head! Very nice tune and good playing all around. It feels like it was written in the 40's or 50's. |

Good stuff, whiskers notwithstanding.
Rockin' the Bigsby pedal, and Joe Cash? I would pay to see this band, if I didn't get in free. |

I have known Mike since he was just a pup in the late 70's. He has always been a great player.
Mike is one of South Carolina's best kept secrets. You should hear him play Pedal Steel, especially when he plays country. hehe.
Mike plays all styles of music better than I can even think of it.
Oh yes, Mike's dad was a great steel player also, that sometimes worked building steels at the Emmons factory. _________________ AUTHORIZED George L's, Goodrich, Telonics and Peavey Dealer: I have 2 steels and several amps. My current rig of choice is 1993 Emmons LeGrande w/ 108 pups (Jack Strayhorn built for me), Goodrich OMNI Volume Pedal, George L's cables, Goodrich Baby Bloomer and Peavey Nashville 112. Can't get much sweeter. |

Yeah I've gone back several times to watch that solo. The handoff to the electric guitar was a really good moment in the tune. Love it. _________________ 2 cheap dobros, several weird old lap steels, and one lifelong ticket to ride on the pedal steel struggle bus. |

Thanks everyone for the nice compliments, I really appreciate it.
Bill, I've been playing non pedal steel lap and stand up on about 60 to 75% of my gigs. I do a bunch of small bar/restaurant 2 or 3 piece gigs in the downtown area. My Daughter is in Med school so I need the extra dough.
We park in those parking garage things and wheel our stuff a long way to the venue. Not only is the non pedal easier to carry and setup, but I really enjoy playing it.
I just wish Garland was still around so he could straighten me out on it. Do you have any videos of him playing?
Dads ole buddy Duane Regan plays about 1/2mi. from my house every Thursday, so I go by there and get a good butt kicking when my ego can take it.
