This Sho-Bud is gorgeous, amazing tone and sustain, very smooth easy pulls, 6/5, currently setup as an EXT E9..splits on 5 & 6, gauged rollers, BL 710, new Sperzals, maple flags on all levers, ser.# 13144. I bought this from Doug Earnest at Zumsteel in 2003...took it to Duane Marrs who did his complete upgrade on all the pot metal parts, installed Coop changers, 1" lift kit, like new OHSC, throwing in a Peterson VS2(P-1 set to cabinet drop of 3.3), over $3500 invested. I have used this guitar on dozens of studio recordings , never been a bar guitar, no smoke, I would like $2500 shipped to you. Thanks for looking, Larry Smile

Hi Larry, that's a beauty. I'd love to try all this interesting stuff you have done, but since we can't, here are my questions. I think people will be interested.

How much does it weigh?
Since you have made recordings with it, can you post a clip to hear?
What does, "P1 set to cabinet drop of 3.3" mean? Are you saying the A pedal causes the E's to drop 3.3 cents?
I'm not familiar with Coop changers. Did you replace the fingers to get rid of the sitar buzzing some older guitars get?
How long has the guitar been in Hawaii?

Interesting coped. It is like you skip trad string 9 and get low A's and E's. I bet that is great for rock and blues.
Thanks in advance.
John

Hi John..guitar is 32lbs out of the case, the peterson VS2 has programable presets, P-1, P-2, the cabinet drop is 3.3, typical for these Sho-Buds, Coop made SS changers with bearings instead of rivets, very smooth, this guitar has been in my Alaska studio for the last 13 years, before that Missouri, the low end is a rocker, also you can thumb pick with that coped..I'm not a computer guy..no clips..all recordings were done in various studios..Thanks for looking! Larry Smile

Beautiful guitar Larry. Ever consider Ever consider having the RKR pull the 9th string B up to D? I would think that would be really useful, eh?

Hi John..I have that on one guitar but I use the RKL to get D in most chords in a decending line. If I just want a 7th with E on the bottom I use pedal 5..I use the RKR to put a 6th on the bottom...Larry
