I'm not talking about stems and seeds 
What's the easiest way to get that scratchy sound out of a Fender Stringmaster tone or volume pot?

Pot cleaning? I'd say lots of hot water and Brillo pad or 3M scrubbing surface, especially for that baked on stuff.

Bill,
There is a product out called Cramolin. I have found that is the best stuff to use. It is a little pricey, but it is worth it. I have found mine in the past at a hardware store, but haven't seen it around lately. Good thing I bought a lifetime supply!

| I've heard that Cramolin is the best also. If you go to Radio Shack, make sure you get the cleaner that leaves a residue. They also sell one that doesn't, for tube sockets and other stuff. If you don't have the lubricating residue, you'll actually shorten the life of the pot. |
