Emmons SKH #97L, 9&7, completely refurbished in 2014 by Billy Knowles, tweed split cases by Hugh Briley, with leg bag, guitar cover and Emmons volume pedal w/new pot, plus the proper allen wrenches, a few e-rings and an Emmons tuning wrench. Tuning keys were not replaced - they're stiff, but perfectly functional. All else just about perfect. Billy added anti-hysteresis rods for the E strings on the 9th neck (the black nylon tuning nuts). A black tone monster (IMHO). $4700. shipped anywhere in CONUS.

David,
That's a beauty. If I didn't have a SKH D-10 I'd seriously would think on this one. I have SN 227L, which was late 82 to early 83. So I would think this one was built in 1981 or so. If I'm wrong someone can chime in.

Billy does great work and he's a great guy to deal with !! So whoever gets this is going to get a "Tone Monster" as you said. I sold mine once and missed it ever since. I was lucky to be able to buy it back last year.

And your's is black and with them awesome split cases.

Good luck on the sale.

Al

I have 261L and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Also have a sd 10 Legrande but I believe the SKH out tones it.
Both awesome guitars. Good luck with your sale.

Thanks to all for the comments. My only complaint with this guitar was the e-rings securing the tuning rods - so difficult (for me) to manipulate that I wound up having to practice instead of fiddling around with new pedal and knee lever ideas Cool .

I own 054 L. Its a black mica with black pedals 4 knees. I bought it from the original owner. I would like to add a 5th knee lever one of these days.

Hey Dave:
Check ebay for the tool to handle the Eclips. I think they are made by Clem Scmidts. They work really well and are about ten bucks last I knew.
How are you ? I left Florida in 08 but still miss it. I still have the seat I bought from you. Take care

Old Bud
