Hi Olli
I haven't made the final arrangements yet, but I may drive to Nashville for a couple of weeks after the 2016 Dallas Show. The journey isn't for the faint hearted, and I've done it quite a few times. I once drove on the Sunday night at the end of the Show, without stopping until I got to Nashville as I wanted to see the Time Jumpers on the next night at the Station Inn. I did Nashville in 10.5 hours as it was raining heavily and I was tired with jet lag. I checked into my hotel on the Monday morning, showered and went to bed exhausted. I woke up in the early hours of Tuesday morning having completely missed the Jumpers show. I was so angry that I hadn't set my alarm on my room phone.
These days I fly into Dallas on the Tuesday before the show, so that I can shake some of the jet lag out of my system. I fell asleep at one of Buck Reid's seminars nearly 3 years back. I had to work hard telling him that I didn't find his session boring - my brain was just telling me that it was my bedtime. He took it in good fun, and we still laugh about it even now. _________________ Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator. It's a 10 hour drive for the normal person, and 5 hours for Ivor the racing driver. Ivor ignores the 50 and 60 mph speed limits along the way. Treble figures all the way!!! _________________ Show Pro D10 - amber (8+6), MSA D10 Legend XL Signature - redburst (9+6), Sho-Bud Pro 111 Custom (8+6), Emmons black Push-Pull D10 (8+5), Zum D10 (8x8), Hudson pedal resonator.
