I need another amp like I need a rash on my butt! However, on Craigslist there is a Peavey LA 400 with a Black Widow 12 inch speaker that looks to be in perfect condition for $150.00.

I think Bobbee Seymour commented on this amp being like a Nashville 400. Any thoughts on this amp?

Killer amp. I have one for steel. Pre amp totally different than a Nashville 400. Passive tone controls, not active like the Nashville 400. Pre amp is exactly like the Special 130 and several other guitar amps. Has two channels.

Great amp. I changed out the opamps to Burr Browns and cleaned up the sound even more.

I use 1 too that has ken's intense mod. I put a telonics speaker in it to replace blown widow. Sounds just great! It also has a tone block tube emulation saturation channel that gives a nice overdrive which nashville 400 does not have. 200 watts in small but heavy package. Grab it!

I just contacted the seller and will pick hope to pick the amp up next Wednesday. I have my young and fit neighbor coming with me as I had a Special 130 and that little thing is heavy. I really don't need another amp but for that price I can't resist...😀
