I just obtained these plastic covered wonders this week. They still feel a bit odd, but do everything that my "usuals" do, but perhaps a little better. These things are much quieter on the strings as well. Try them...you'll like them. (P.S.: I promise to proof read my threads in the future.) I use them too, becuase they don't slip off my fingers. I have not noticed any difference in the tone they produce from that of my Dunlops. |

If I'm speaking of the same ones (I have the black ones) they have very flared out edges. They catch on one another and go flying off. |

These picks are regular 20 gauge Dunlap finger picks that are powder coated black or red, they seem to stay on your fingers better. |

and you can wear them 4 hrs w/o them diging in to your fingers. A few months ago I ordered some more but they were not making any at that time. Thet were kind enough to provide me with used ones which the metal on the end was exposed(which did not matter) but the coating on the rings are still there for the comfort. I started using these picks back in the early 70s I believe. I like em. CC |

Regarding the exposed tips vs. plastic tips: I did not buy these for comfort of for slippage. I did so to reduce the metallic string "clank" produced when I
pick-block. |
