D
A
B
G

G
I call it Gadd9 but with the D on top I'm not 100% sure. A G or 5th note in second octave is the 12th - which isn't used in standard chord nomenclature. Does one think of it as just a doubled fifth even though it's in the second octave? _________________ Steel Guitar Books! Website: www.volkmediabooks.com |

Gadd9
The upper voice is simply a doubling of the 5th in a different octave. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

Is it the absence of an "F" that prevents this from being a G9? _________________ Some songs I've written |

Add an F# and it's a major 9. Without the 7, it's ambiguous. |

Can't be a sus 4, Dom, 'cause the 3rd is in the there. for my money, Gaadd9 is the answer. _________________ Steel Guitar Books! Website: www.volkmediabooks.com |

It can't be Gsus2, because there is a 3rd in the chord. The A would have to be considered a 9th.
Let's it call it Linda and be done with it. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |
