I saved this picture from the forum years ago and I regret not being able to provide proper credit. No idea who posted it.

The wraparound bolt ons from October 1964 are missing. I no longer have one. _________________ Chris Lucker

Jon, the photo's you posted were the one's I was looking for and I am 90% sure they were posted by Jay Leach.
Jeff, the link you provided is a gold mine.
Thanks for the help. It is really educational stuff.
Having lived near Bryan Adams and being 3 1/2 hours from the Emmons factory, this is Emmons country down here. Bought my first steel from Ron Lashley Sr. in 1968 and picked it up at the factory. Sold it a lot of years ago, got a Kline universal, then a 12 string Emmons Extended E-9 PP, now my present guitar is a 1982 Zum D-10. All the guitars have been great. I have never owned a bad guitar.
Once that Emmons PP sound gets in your head, you can't get it out. Before I die, I want to own one last guitar, an Emmons PP. I am researching which model I should consider as my first choice. It will be a long time until I can save up the money for one, but hopefully, I will be able to afford one again sometime in the future. The way the prices keep going up on them, that may be a dream that I will never realize. I turned 70 this year, so the clock is ticking. I may run out of time before I can save up enough money to buy one. In the meantime, I will just drool at photo's. |
