Merry Christmas to all my friends on the Steel Guitar Forum.
For the past decade or so, I’ve recorded a Christmas or holiday themed tune to share with my buds on the Forum.

This year I did 'The Christmas Song' == aka, 'Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire'

All these songs -- and others -- are available for free on my website -- make your own Christmas CD from them with my good wishes! Just click HERE to visit LarryBell.org – Christmas songs are in the lower right corner of the page or just click on links below

It's kinda fun to listen to the variety of guitars -- I believe there were 2 Push-Pull Emmons guitars, 2 Fessies, and a Show-Pro present from time to time.

All were just quick & dirty sessions using tracks from the web or Band in a Box -- and pretty rough mixes with very little production.

I hope you enjoy it -- click on the song titles below -- all are 3 - 5 Mb mp3 files --

This Year's Tune
The Christmas Song - 2015

Songs from previous years:

Winter Wonderland - 2002
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - 2003
O Christmas Tree - 2004
No Place Like Home for the Holidays - 2005
Christmas Time is Here - 2006
My Favorite Things / Bluesette - 2007
Hard Candy Christmas - 2008
Sleigh Ride - 2009
Santa Claus is Coming to Town - 2010
I Saw Mama Kissing Santa Claus - 2011
I'll Be Home for Christmas - 2012
Little Saint Nick - 2013

Last Year's Tune
Blue Christmas - 2014

Wishing y'all the best of holiday seasons and a prosperous new year.

Larry Bell

I absolutely dig this year's tune, one of my favorites--almost a cowboy samba. Always fine to get more steel Christmas music,
altho every year I remember why I like Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas and Christmastime Is Here so much; great chestnuts.

I sent the link to Ashokan Farewell to a friend in Shokan, NY, who knows the composer--and added the list of Christmas music for her.
Everybody in the world should hear these tunes; they always get me started in the direction of Christmas spirit.
I dig the fadeout on The Christmas Song. Nice jazz. Thanks, Larry.

Thank you, guys, for taking the time to write something -- I appreciate your comments
Very Happy

Hey Charlie -- With my blessings -- I have recorded several versions, most notably the one on my 'Cold Places' CD, with fiddle and mando and upright is the most produced. The other is the one on my website 'Tunes' page. Feel free to share

Merry Christmas, guys

I know what Craig means--wouldn't it be wonderful to hear these versions in the mall, just in the order listed, instead of the usual fare?
All over the world!
