Awesome guitar, and your pics are outstanding as usual, but if I may make a suggestion?
In your ads, it would be most helpful if you could include a "straight in from the end" picture of the changer so we can all see how many up/down a particular guitar has.

| Damir: What would be the age of this guitar? Looks like late '70s or early '80s. I can't tell from the photo but it looks like a triple raise/double lower. Not sure. My Sierra Olympic is similar--it's an S12Uni with double raise/double lower. I can testify these guitars sound and play as good as they look. |

John, to me, it looks like a late 80's guitar. If Damir can post the serial number, the year of birth can be deciphered.
A little additional observation on this beauty; It appears to have the most excellent Dan Shields pick ups.

Yes, John. The photo which you've attached, appears to be a Dan Shields pick up. I believe they were the precursor to the Dan Shields "Crap Trap" pick ups.
One last note: On the serial number, the last two digits indicate the year of the decade of which the guitar was made. An hypothetical example of such a serial number would be: SCM 638 89. The "SCM" indicates the "Sierra Crown Master" style; the "638" represents the serial sequence of manufacture; the "89" indicates the guitar would have been made during 1989.

| One last detail: do you know the weight of this beautiful girl? My Sierra Olympic SD12U weighs about 55 lbs. It's a full double-neck body width with a pad on back. My Zum SD12U, same pedals and KLs and width weighs about 38 lbs. I can still hoist the Sierra in and out of its case but at 67 yrs of age, I'm not sure for how long. |
