GFI Ultra SD-10, 3 + 5, Serial # 0672 finished on March 18, 2002. I believe I am the second owner. Steel is in excellent condition with a nick or two, but immaculate otherwise. Don’t believe is has been gigged with. I have used it in the studio only. Day setup pedals, Newman setup knees, GFI-II Pickup. I can configure the guitar to any setup you like. It is very simple to change the copedant on these guitars. Legs are 2 inches over standard. This guitar plays very smoothly and has that great GFI tone and sustain, and comes in red for Christmas. Tuning is very stable, case is in great condition with leg bag. I am located in Montreal, but could ship from upstate NY. $1700 plus shipping.

Just a note about this guitar. It has a place in the history of sound recording as the first pedal steel to be recorded in 3D audio. I’m a researcher in the Enhanced Reality Audio Group at McGill University, and we’re working on developing recording techniques for virtual and augmented reality. Lots of people have been working with orchestral instruments, but I didn’t see any reason they should get all the glory.
And ‘yes’, the guitar is still red, and still for sale.
Cheers, Bryan |
