Here is a bolt on metal neck wrap around push pull 8&5 in EXCELLENT condition and plays as easy as some Legrandes. Although knees have been added and a 108 installed on the front neck it appears to be very near a closet classic. I have the origional single that goes with guitar..15.8. Serial #1079. For pic,s. bobbyreed.net. $6800.

I'm no expert on vintage push pulls but I think the neck is not a split tail so to speak. Maybe there's another term for it? I'm interested in any input here as I might be misleading in my description.[/b]

Chris Lucker is the source for all things related to early push pull guitars. He's on this forum. If he does not chime in here, I would send him a PM. He may be able to give you some help identifying what you have.

More photos would help. This looks like a lacquer guitar?

As Chris stated, a standard bolt on metal neck. Quite a few made. Great sounding rigs. This is a mica guitar. Very early ones had tuning issues until they found what the problem was. This is a 66 so no tuning issues. All bolt ons aren't wood necks. I had a black one like it I wish I would have kept, now I can't afford one. This is the real deal looks like.

Late Fall 1967 Bolt-on. It is a "D" guitar. Late Bolt-on, too. The latest i have seen, and owned at one time, was 1090D from December something 1967. I have seen a Cut Tail 106x D, so this is a transition guitar.

That it is not a 1966 but a 1967 does not matter. There is no difference.

I have a friend with #1024 and he was told by the Emmons people that his was the first made in '66 and 1079 would fall later that year if my information is correct but you're right it doesn't really matter that much. I haven't posted much here in the last 2 or so years because I never learned to post good pic's but if anyone needs more I'll try again. Thanks to all for looking and comments...Bobby

Bobby, you are forgetting the D at the end of your serial number. Both 1081 D and 1090D are December 1967 guitars.

Not to start a firestorm about dates but I found a list of serial #s that I got from Bobbe Seymore a few years ago and it list 1966 from 1024 to 1126 for whatever that's worth. Thanks Chris for your input...Bobby

My bolt on D10 that I sold (and deeply regret selling) was 1052D . It was a 66

I have 2 67 D10's and there numbers are 1088D and 1109D.

that list has always been questionable for accuracy.
for those of you who are sure you know the age, you must have bought them new at the time. otherwise it's all a little hazy. and unless it's a wraparound, it doesn't really matter that much.

I guess it's kinda like dates on old Gibson guitars, no dependable list. Thanks again to all who responded.
