I haven't seen this discussed, and a search didn't turn up anything useful. On a triple or quad with pedals, were the pedals normally attached to only one or two necks, leaving the rest as nonpedal? I'm guessing here, but that makes sense, but then I'm a nonpedaller and I don't think like a pedaller. |

Gibson's Multi-Harp had 3 necks, but the pedals only worked on the center neck. And on the double-neck Multi-Kord, the pedals only worked on one neck. On the Bigsbys, I'd guess that very few of the 3 and 4 neck guitars had pedals working on all necks. Usually, 1 or 2 of the necks were non-pedal. |

I'm sorry I have no record of who posted these pics, but here is a triple with pedals for each neck....

Thanks to all. As usual with steels, there are no rules. |

Ray, without going to too much trouble, could you post what tunings and copedants you use with your Bigsby?
I've often been curious.
When I bought that Rickenbacker D8 from you a few years back it was set up with tunings of which I was completely unfamiliar. |

On the nearest neck, I have the old standard C6th tuning; one pedal raises the second string to C#;
the Issac's neck it's a standard E7th with two pedals raising five strings to A6th; and on the top neck I
drop the fourth string a half tone.
Hope that helps?
On the guitar I sent you I had attempted to have C6th with a 7th on one of lower strings and also
Jerry's newer tuning and right now the name of it escapes me. Perhaps later this evening? |
