For sell is a Vintage Framus 12 string electric banjo! Super rare! Never seen another one like it! Super unique sound! Sounds huge plugged in. It's in pretty good shape, had it set up recently. I believe it's from the 60s. Couldn't find much info about it. Comes with a like new hard case. $600 obo

I've had a 12-string banjo for many years now. As a rhythm instrument in a jazz band it cuts through the brass. I don't think the magnetic pick-up on this instrument is a big deal. The fact is, when you put a pick-up on any instrument it sounds like an electric guitar. But, acoustically, any banjo makes a lot of noise, and a 12-string one makes a LOT. Winking

I tune mine like a 12-string guitar. But you could tune it any way you wanted.

I'll try to make a recording soon! Sounds great electric and acoustic. Stills retains the banjo sound when plugged in. The pickup is super sensitive and sounds great. Right now i have it in drop D tuning, sounds huge! Its also really fun to tune the pairs slightly off to get a sort of Turkish sound.
