Amazing! That seller is a collector who is thinning out his collection... all rare, high end stuff, dobros, steels, guitars, all in Mint or excellent condition.

About two months ago I bought the identical rig, 1934 A22 Frypan and matching 1934 "Speaker" amplifier for half that price, which I thought was fair. The A22 had already had Rick Aiello's magic touches and the amp was pristine. Not a piece of dirt or dust anywhere in or on it. No sign of heat on any of the components. I put a grounding cord on it and changed all the caps (5, count them, 5) and it plays great. Clean and bright. No on/off switch, volume or tone controls but you know how this thing sounded in 1934.

A worthwhile and interesting setup but NOT at that price.

Have lots of pics if you're interested.

John
