The last time I saw Wayne the Train he had Sean Mencher on guitar and Jeremy Wakefield on steel. I understand that neither is with him anymore. Does anyone know his current lineup? He sure knows how to pick 'em!

The last time I saw Wayne was in December and he a had a totally differnet band from the prvious show I had seen. Don't remember the names off hand, but he had a young kid playing Fender non-pedel. His playing was a little on the crude side (but I wish I could play that crude). After the show I talked to him and he told me he had only been playing steel for a year. He said he listens to a lot of Speedy West, which I could hear in his playing style.

btw, anyone recognized that mayn of these retro non-peddlers go pedal these days???
I heard Lee Jeffriess picked up a Fender 1000, Jimmy Roy a Sho~Bud and please check out Jeremy Wakefield on the new Deke Dickerson CD !! Sounds like a Bigsby with pedals..
but that doesn't answer your question...sorry

I believe Wayne's playing Sunday night at the Blue Cafe in Long Beach. Right after Bovine and his back up guys, The Chris Gaffney Band. Is this correct, or did I misread the info? If right, this could be a whole almost 8 hrs. of good music.
That's hard to find. Outside of Texas, of course.
