Cindy Cashdollar, Jeff DeMaio, Jim Cohen, Sid Hudson, Buck Reid, Mike Sweeney, Chuck Campbell, Jack Stanton and John DeMaille. WHAT do all of these FABULOUS steel players have in common??? The answer is they will all be together this Sunday, November 8th, starting at 11 a.m. at the Pedal Steel Guitar Association annual show. It will be held in Norwalk, CT.

These players are driving unreal distances just to come perform for you! Do not disappoint them, let them know that their driving skills AND steel playing skills have meaning to you! Gas up your rig, turn on your map program, set it for the Double Tree Hotel in Norwalk, CT and put her in gear. We are taking attendance this year. Any steel player on the Forum that lives within 500 miles will be expected to attend unless you have a written note from your doctor stating that you are unable to handle the sheer exhilaration you will certainly be exposed to by attending this event. Those without doctor's notes found not attending will be sanctioned. Penalties will depend on the severity of the infraction. To avoid such penalties, please see at link details on this not to miss event for a cost of ONLY $20:

That's great, I think doing the one day show will work out great and we can keep it going in the future, just takes a little effort from everyone. See you tomorrow

I just wanted to chime in here and say what
a great time I had yesterday. It's always great to
see other players and enthusiasts that you've become
friends with over the years that you would not get
to see otherwise.
And the players and backup band were fantastic as
expected.
Great show! Looking forward to next year.

Yes! what a great day in Norwalk!

First of all every player was spot on as was our great backing band the 4 B's (Best Backing Band in the Business0, Footch, Van Manakas, Steve Alcott, and Dave Sonneborn, and a great bunch of guys to boot.

The day was full of surprises, lots of old and new friends came out to fill the house, has to be one of the biggest crowds since I have attended.

It was great to see Chip Fossa in attendance, as well as the great Buddy Cage, who was absorbing the great vibe, and giving one out himself.

I will post some shots of the day shortly, but wanted to especially mention some great performances by Buck Reid, Cindy Cashdollar, Mike Sweeney, Jim Cohen, they are real pros and very gracious folks too, we were honored to see you perform and hang out with everyone.

On a sad note Sid Hudson could make it as he had a family emergency, please put him and his family in your prayers and thoughts.

Thanks to Bob M. and Jeff Demaio and the rest of the PSGA staff for another great show and a special shout out to Vermonter John Brabant for his above and beyond help this year, next year will be fun!

Lastly I was probably most gratified that my friend and first time attendee, Joey had such a great experience that he is inspired to start up his playing and practicing on the steel, that's what its really all about isn't it!

What a great show! Killer backup band and terrific sets from a great lineup of steelers, all MC'd, as it has been for so many years, by Mike Gross. And how wonderful to see a full house! Really great support from the steel community for this event. And a great tribute to Buddy Emmons at the end of the evening, with never-before-seen footage from his performance at the 1987 PSGA show in Armonk, NY (coincidentally, the first PSGA show that I ever played on).

Great to see Buddy Cage was in attendance too. We missed Sid Hudson and wish him all the best.

Many thanks to the entire PSGA organization who work tirelessly year after year (now 42nd!) to bring us such a great show. Long may you run! I know I'm already looking forward to #43!

Here are a few pix, one of Cindy C., and one of me with my pal, Chip Fossa who suffered a bad stroke several years ago and this was his first return to a steel show in years, thanks to the great help of his good buddy, Larry Williams.

Yes, it was a great show. Great picking all day from all of the players, and excellent backup band, as always. And it was nice to see so many old friends... What a fun day, thanks PSGA!

Not only Great players, but Great people as well. I know Jim Cohen is always willing to help a fella out who has steel related questions. He's helped me several times with questions I've had. A wealth of talent there for sure. Bet it was a fantastic show. Very Happy
