Just put on all new strings after playing on the old ones for 7 months. These Live Steel Strings still had great tone and had a lot of playing done on them and only broke 2 third strings during all this time. As for me, I really like them and just reorderd me a good supply. Great tone and durability. And, I like the nickel wound. I just received a bunch of Live Steel Strings in the stainless version with the gauges that I prefer. I have been using Jagwire and D'darrio but the nickel seemed to go dead pretty quick. I change a set every 3 weeks or so with 3rd's and 5th's in between. They sound crisp and tune up well. Great guy to do business with. If you have not tried these, order a set. You'll be pleasantly surprised. He will make up custom sets to fit you. Service was outstanding!!! _________________ Just north of the Weird place, south of Georgetown |
